Stalker is now becoming the most prominent professional sports radar gun in the world. The more affordable of their line is the Stalker Sport. Running an impressive 15 milliwatts of power, Stalker lists it's ranges as follows:
Maximum Estimated Ranges
baseballs - 325 feet
passenger cars - 5500 feet
snowmobiles - 1800 fee
watercraft - 1000 feet
The vaersatility of the gun to handle all types of applications is a big selling point. The other impressive feature(s) are the scaled down keypad settings that allow you to adjust the DSP chip in the gun to configure to a type of ball or other object. Outside interference is minimized with the guns ability to select certain speed ranges, distance ranges and antenna sensitivities.
On the down side the unit is a far cry from the point and shoot ease of it's competitors and the accessories can be a burdensome expense. It is however quality from top to bottom and almost all the gun you'll ever need- except for it's big brother The Stalker Pro.
A cool feature of the 3 digit external display is it's ability to calculate golf ball distance so it can in essence function like a driving range in a confined space. Stalker continues to use the highly visible flip digit function of it's displays while other manufacturers are moving away from this due to the expense and fragility.
